Hoang Xuan Ty - Director, Chief Scientist - Forest Soil and Ecology

Asoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Xuan Ty is a leading scientist in forestry ecolgy, soil science and climate change. His long-term study in soil under plantation forest have significantly contributed to the understanding of nutrient cycling in forest ecosystem in Vietnam.

Prof. Ty has extensive knowledge in forestry and rural development in Vietnam. As a scientist Prof. Ty has lead many research programs in forest soil, ecology and environment with funding from both government of Vietnam and international sponsors such as CIFOR, IIED, FAO, ESCAP, IDRC. As a consultant Dr. Ty has completed many assignment for the World Bank, UNDP, ADB, FAO, IUCN, GTZ. Mr. Ty main research interest are: i) Forest soil & forest ecology; ii) Agro-forestry system, iii) Carbon inventory and climage change study in forestry sector.

Mr. Ty holds an Ph.D in forest soil from Forest Science Institute of Vietnam (FSIV) and was promoted as Asoc. Prof in 1998 from the same Institute.

Hoang Viet Anh - GIS/ Natural Resource Management

Viet Anh Hoang is an environment specialist with specialize in natural resources management using geosciences approach. He have more than 15 years experience consulting on environment assessment, water resources, forest ecology and land use planning. Viet Anh Hoang has worked with government and NGO in Vietnam and South East Asia in areas of feasibility study, policy review, project monitoring and evaluation.

Viet Anh Hoang research interest is the application of GIS, and remote sensing for natural resources management. His research in this field include forest mapping, soil erosion modeling, desertification monitoring, flood management, and urban planning. He has worked in several countries including Vietnam, Laos, UK, Netherlands and Spain.

Viet Anh Hoang received a BSc in biology and ecology from University of Hanoi, an MSc in Natural Resources Management from International Institute of Geo-information Science and Earth observation (ITC), Netherlands; and Ph.D in Geosciences from University of Newcastle, UK.

Msc. Dao Viet Dung - Irrigation/ Water Resource Management

Dao Viet Dung is in charge of GFD water resources management. He has vast experience in design and construction of small-hydro power plant, irrigation system, and rural water supply. He is a senior researcher at National Institute of Hydrology and has worked as a consultant for MARD, FAO, ACIAR, OXFAM, ADB, EU, UNICEF.

Mr. Dung holds a B.A from Hanoi University of Water Resources; an MSc from International Institute of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC), The Netherlands.

Do Hong Anh, Project Development

Do Hong Anh manage the business development at GFD. She has very broad experience in social sciences, education, transportation, project management and business management. Hong Anh worked for 5 years at Asian Injury, an international NGO in traffic safety, as a project manager for numerous project in traffic safety education before moving to business world.

After Asian Injury, Mrs. Hong Anh has worked at senior position in several business including retailing, IT, media industry, energy and real estate investment consulting. Hong Anh holds a B.A from Vietnam University for International Trading; an M.A in Social Sciences from University of Northumbria (UK).

Do Huu Tiep, Geosciences

Mr. Do Huu Tiep is a senior expert with 40 years working experiences in the field of surveying and surveying equipment. Prior to join GreenField, Mr. Tiep was the sale manager at Diethelm, the Leica’s authorized dealer in Vietnam where he was in charge of all Leica hardware and software product.

Mr. Tiep has an bachelor degree in Geotechnical engineering in Germany and had worked for Leica head office in Switzerland for 2 years. In Vietnam he has worked as marketing manager for several large scientific equipment distributors in the field of surveying, environment and geophysics.

Ha Hai Nam, ICT

Ha Hai Nam, is an sernior ICT Expert, with PhD from the United Kingdom. He has more than 10 years experience in developing information system architecture, complex multilevel databases and portals. His experience from building forest related systems in Vietnam has provided him with thorough understanding of land-use, forest classification and forest management practices.

As Lecturer at the PTIT, he has accumulated significant competence in preparing ICT curricula, training and coaching developers and users. Dr Nam has produced numerous publications of international standard and technical manuals for developers and users.

Do Tu Anh, Legal and market study

Do Tu Anh is in charge of legal and market study consulting. Prior to join as a senor advisor GFD, she was an active entrepreneur involved in investment consulting, petroleum, energy and real estate sectors. Do Tu Anh was the co-founder and CEO of Asian Injury, an international NGO in traffic safety, and set up a helmet factory to support the foundation. From 2003-2007, she was the CEO of NETTRA, a Vietnamese investment firm in telecommunication, real-estate, and private equity.

Do Tu Anh has extensive experiences in transportation business, industry operation/ management, and comprehensive knowledge of the law, finance and business regulation in Vietnam.

Do Minh Ly, Business development

Do Minh Ly is in charge of business development with focus on CDM and energy sectors. Prior to join GFD he was working as sale manager for several Biotech companys in Plan Protection sector. Ly hold a Engineering degree from Hanoi University of Agriculture.

Nguyen Tien Manh, Mechanical Engineer

In GFD Nguyen Tien Manh is in charge of business development with focus on energy sectors. He hold a degree of Heating and Refrigeration Department, Hanoi University of Technology.

Pham Nhat Anh, GIS

In GFD Pham Nhat Anh focus on GIS/ remote sensing sectors. He has a BA of landforms & natural catastrophes, University of Natural Sciences, Hanoi National University.

Vu Thi Diu, Project coordinator

Vu Thi Diu join GFD in 2009 working as in-house coordinator for various projects.

Phan Thi Hien, Administrator/Cashier

Join GFD in 2009, Hien is in charge of office administration & payment.
