Forest Fire

The data for this forest fire map is extracted from the Fire Information for Resource Management System (FIRMS) and generated using Google Map API. The map is updated automatically on a daily basic to show all forest fire in Vietnam in the last 24h as detected by MODIS hotspot imagery.

It show a simple yet powerful and flexible functionality of Google Map API which can acquire attribute data from external sources and generate map on-the-fly. GreenField geospatial service group is working on a prototype solution to send message (SMS or email) in the real-time-basic to the user once their point of interest are fire-detected.
